Heard those rumors lately about the new handheld device by Apple that functions fully on touch screen? It’s called the Apple Tablet or now officially known as the iSlate. Though similar to an iTouch it’ll features more functions and capabilities along with a much more sleek and dare I say sexy look.
Executives at Apple never discuss products that are in the works and even though the iSlate is widely known to exist, not much has been revealed about it yet. However, technology experts are giddy about the device, already exclaiming it will be “the gadget to end all gadgets”. And since giddy experts aren’t something you see every day, the iSlate must be one heck of a technology.
What little we know of the iSlate is that the tablet will have a 10-inch to 12-inch screen and a high-end graphics card that will enable stunning resolution -- even more so than the iPhone and iPod Touch. The device also has another cool feature -a web cam. With all of those features combined into one, eager fans say the iSlate will blow all its competitors away; dominating the computing, internet browsing, reading, gaming and entertainment fields when it comes to hand held devices.
Supposedly it’s going to make its debut in the next few months; observers expect Apple to announce the iSlate at a press event on January 27, 2010 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. And when they start selling it the expected price is expected to be more expensive than the iPhone but less expensive than an Apple notebook computer, estimated around $1,000 USD.
