    - Is the iPhone still in?
    - iNo the iPhone

For a long time everyone wanted the iPhone, but times have changed. Even with a prepaid plan the iPhone is pretty expensive. College and high students just can’t seem to afford it which is why their looking for different options

Android: The Android was just released, but it sure does look a lot like the iPhone. Well unlike the iPhone it has 1.4 more hours of 3G talk.

Palm Pre: The Palm Pre has bigger memory then the iPhone has.

Google Nexus One: Just released, the Google Nexus One has a camera with higher quality then the iPhone

Nokia 5800: The Nokia is 15g less then the iPhone. Unlike the iPhone where you can only use the tough screen the Nokia has different modes like finger, stylus, plectrum, and handwriting recognition.

BlackBerry Storm 2: The Blackberry Storm has a screen .20 inches longer then the iPhone and it has more flash for the camera. Unlike the iPhone the Blackberry has removable memory.

With so many other choices is the iPhone still worth it? When you get down to the point most of the phones above have the same applications.

For a long time everyone wanted the iPhone, but times have changed. Even with a prepaid plan the iPhone is pretty expensive. The iPhone has changed the standards that touch-screen phones get compared too. College and high students just can’t seem to afford it which is why their looking for different options. Most of the phones out there now are smartphones, phones that offer advanced capabilities.

Google Nexus One: Just released, the Google Nexus One costs $179 and is $120 dollars less then the iPhone. While $120 dollars can’t go as far as it used too, you cans still buy a few books with it. Compared to the iPhone the Nexus One has about 2 hours more of 3G talk time and 2.0 megapixels more than the iPhone. Side by side the unlimited plan for the Nexus One is $99 compared to $149 for the iPhone. Although $40 can’t go as far as it used it, it can still be used to buy school supplies.

Droid: The Motorola Droid was just released, but it sure does look a lot like the iPhone. Well unlike the iPhone it has 1.4 more hours of 3G talk. Although it costs as much as the iPhone it has 2.0 more megapixels then the iPhone. The Droid doesn’t seem to be lacking much except all the apps the iPhone has.

Palm Pre: The Palm Pre seems to be the most simply smartphone on this list, but that doesn’t mean it’s not good. By the time of 2 years of the unlimited plan the Palm Pre has already saved you close to $1200 then if you have an unlimited plan for the iPhone. Unlike the iPhone you can multitask on the Palm Pre so you can minimize windows and work on something else.

Nokia 5800: The Nokia is 15g less then the iPhone. Unlike the iPhone where you can only use the tough screen the Nokia has different modes like finger, stylus, plectrum, and handwriting recognition. With the Nokia you get 3 hours more worth of talk time in a single full charge the with the iPhone that only gets five. Even though it costs the same as the iPhone comparing all of iPhones features to Nokia’s, Nokia comes out on top most of the time.

BlackBerry Storm 2: The Blackberry Storm has a screen .20 inches longer then the iPhone and it has more flash for the camera. Unlike the iPhone the Blackberry has removable memory. The thing that makes the BlackBerry stand out beyond the iPhone and every other smartphone out there that it is about $100-150 less in a prepaid pain then any other phone. With just a $50 prepaid plan it’s the perfect phone for a student who wants a smartphone.

With so many other choices is the iPhone still worth it? When you get down to the point most of the phones above have the same applications. The only thing that makes the iPhone shine above the rest is that it has a bigger app store. In this recession not everyone can afford a phone as expansive as a laptop, but with so many phones out there you’ll be sure to find a phone right for you.

For a long time everyone wanted the iPhone, but times have changed. Even with a prepaid plan, the iPhone is pretty expensive. The iPhone has changed the standards of touch-screen technology. College and high students just can’t seem to afford it, which is why they're looking for different options. Most of the phones out there now are smartphones, phones that offer advanced capabilities. Trying to find alternatives to the iPhone is hard, but to try and make it easier here’s a list of other choices:

Google Nexus One: Just released, the Google Nexus One costs $179 and is $120 dollars less than the iPhone. While $120 can’t go as far as it used to, you can still buy a few books with it. Compared to the iPhone, the Nexus One has about two hours more of 3G talk time and two megapixels more than the iPhone. Side by side, the unlimited plan for the Nexus One is $99 compared to $149 for the iPhone.

Droid: The Motorola Droid was just released, but it sure does look a lot like the iPhone. However, unlike the iPhone, it has 1.4 more hours of 3G talk. Although it costs as much as the iPhone, it has two more megapixels than the iPhone. The Droid doesn’t seem to be lacking much except all the apps the iPhone has.

Palm Pre: The Palm Pre seems to be the simplest smartphone on this list, but that doesn’t mean it’s not good. By the time two years of the unlimited plan have passed, the Palm Pre has already saved you close to $1200 more than if you have an unlimited plan for the iPhone. Unlike the iPhone, you can multitask on the Palm Pre so you can minimize windows and work on something also.

Nokia 5800: The Nokia is 15g less then the iPhone. Unlike the iPhone in which you can only use the tough screen, the Nokia has different modes like finger, stylus, plectrum, and handwriting recognition. With the Nokia you get three hours more worth of talk time in a single full charge than with the iPhone which only gets five. Even though it costs the same as the iPhone, when comparing all of the iPhone’s features to the Nokia’s, the Nokia comes out on top most of the time.

BlackBerry Storm Two: The Blackberry Storm has a screen .20 inches longer than the iPhone and it has more flash for the camera. Unlike the iPhone, the Blackberry has removable memory. The thing that makes the BlackBerry stand out beyond the iPhone and every other smartphone out there is that it is about $100-150 less in a prepaid plan than any other phone. With just a $50 prepaid plan, it’s the perfect phone for a student who wants a smartphone.

With so many other choices, is the iPhone still worth it? When you get down to the point most of the phones above have the same applications. The only thing that makes the iPhone shine above the rest is that it has a bigger app store. In this recession not everyone can afford a phone as expansive as a laptop such as the iPhone, but with so many phones out there, you’ll be sure to find a phone right for you.
