March of the Nerds Empty March of the Nerds

    March of the Nerds
Ever wonder what a nerd’s daily schedule is like? Well, based on the movie: March of the Penguins, here is a documentary put into words – words that tell the day of an ordinary nerd. Maybe it tells of the secrets to a nerd’s success… but then again, maybe it doesn’t.

    6:00am
Waking up at 6:00 am, they follow a secret nerd-ninja saying: early nerd catches the A. Following their early awakening, the nerd initiates onward and proceeds onto the bathroom to do super secret nerd “business.” Crucial morning events such as a nerd’s power shower, dental care, and skin treatment take place during that time.

    7:00 am
Opening the doors of a steamy bathroom, the nerd comes out as a full-out awakened nerd. Advancing onto the extremely crucial event of the morning – the brain breakfast, the average nerd eats a balanced breakfast including whole foods such as bananas because they help the brain, whole wheat toast with fresh, homemade honey for some morning carbs, a glass of orange juice for vitamin C, a refreshing salad because veggies are important, a tub of yogurt to help digestion, a softly boiled egg for protein, and a fish oil pellet – just to be safe. After their large meal, a quick before-school studying, also known as the “brain-awakener,” to (as the name implies) awaken the brain.

    8:00 am
    School

    3:00 pm
After a lengthy seven hours of nonstop learning. The nerd starts out with a little bit of tutoring. Earn a little money, help some inadequately educated students, and help the world become a better and smarter place, merely by spreading their smarts. After a few hours of making the world a better place, the nerd progresses onward to a short hangout. A “party” as they call it, in which chemical experiments are conducted to disprove physics laws. Studying and doing homework? The nerd does it so quickly, it takes virtually no time at all. After their last meal of the day, the nerd proceeds on to a little exercise. Stretch the limbs; tighten and strengthen the muscles a little – what? a nerd has to stay fit and healthy too. A few hours of piano and violin practice and now it’s time for the nerd to finally relax.

    9:00
Wonder why a nerd sleeps so late at night? Well they’re watching TV of course! Flipping from Jeapordy, to Millionaire, to 1 vs. 100, to Family Feud, and then beginning the cycle again, nerds absorb an immense amount of miscellaneous information during this time. After a few hours of intense game show watching, the nerd moves on towards the end of their day. Retreating back into the bathroom, the nerd scrubs and lathers all the unnecessary information away and returns to their bedroom. Time for lights out? No, not yet. Lastly, the nerd writes a little; reflects on the day – what happened, what was learned, any interesting questions come up for the next day. A little journal perhaps, or some may even dare to call it a nerd-diary. When the neon, light-up pen stops, then you know it is time for beddy bye for the exhausted nerd.

    12:00
Sleep. Remember, early nerd catches the A.

Laughing scornfully while fellow peers ask obvious question, the nerd carries a massive backpack full of textbooks, calculators, homework, and extra studies.

    12:00 pm
Lunch time and the nerd seems to be pretty famished. What’s for lunch you wonder? Mother’s homemade love-lunchbox of course! Licking the plastic container squeaky clean, the nerd moves onto some studying under an apple tree. After observing the apples fall for a few times, the nerd has a fantastic idea! Beginning to calculate the speed and applying the laws of gravity into the works, the nerd begins a series of (what they would call) fun and games – until the bell rings and it’s time to start class again.
