1. A recently created theme park in China, named Kingdom of the Little People, has been the source of a lot of controversy, particularly among people with dwarfism. The theme park, located in China’s Yunnan province, puts dwarves on display and features as its main event a group of dwarves that performs various skits, including a slapstick rendition of “Swan Lake.” Gary Arnold, the spokesperson for the Little People of America, thinks the idea is “horrible.”
2. Two months ago, American artist Caleb Larson created a piece of art that literally sells itself. It is essentially a large black box with Internet connection and a small computer programmed to log onto eBay once every seven days and auction itself. Potential buyers bid around $6,500 and winners keep the box for about a week before it auctions itself off again.
