My freshman year has been quite the journey. Ever since Apache Days, I’ve been engrossed in activities, both curricular and extra-curricular, that have shaped me into a faithful Apache ready for the upcoming three years at AHS. The plays, elections and movies that are offered to the student body have proved quite the stress relief during the school year, allowing time to spend with friends and the chance to meet new ones.
Although the curriculum can be wit-testing experience at times, I’m proud to represent the Cardinal and Gold, and will be reciting the Alma Mater faithfully in the coming years.
    Clint Edwards, 9

Freshman year at Arcadia High School has been a blast! I can't believe the school year is nearly over. In the beginning it seemed like we would be stuck here forever, but now it just seems like it's here today and will be gone tomorrow. I have made many new friends this year too! I've really enjoyed this year and I know that each year will only get better and better. I look foward to this summer for a nice break before we start next year.
    Lauren Kime, 9

Firstly, I wanna say that senior year isn’t all laid back and chill. It’s actually the opposite. The fun and chill part comes in the last month or so. Secondly, it goes by so fast. You go to bed the night of the first day and wake up almost at the end of the year. And you ask yourself, what happened? And all the activities you’ve participated in your entire high school career start to end one by one. You start to realize the unending responsibilities that come after high school, the real adult life. So there is no better way to spend senior year than just to savor and cherish each and every moment, bitter and sweet. Because this chapter is about to end.
    Joshua Cheng, 12

As I look back on senior year, I think about every little phase that we went through. From starting school off with excitement and anxiety for college applications, to what seemed like the never ending wait for decisions to come out, and to finally hearing back from the schools that we have been dreaming of since elementary school. To see that what we have been sleep depriving ourselves over the past three years is finally paying off is gratifying. However, this year has also been extremely bittersweet. Although I never have to take an AP test again ever in my life, I will also never have another high school prom. In a few weeks time, the friends that I have grown up with and supported will be separating. But, this just makes it all the more necessary to savor every moment that is left, and to treasure these last couple days of our high school lives.

Reflections by Esther and Jade Empty juniors

Post  JadeShao Fri May 14, 2010 5:52 am

I think that this year I learned a lot about myself, about who I am and I guess what I want to do. And maybe I guess, just more about my characteristics, I feel as though I developed a lot in general as a person. Although I still don't know what I want to do in college, I think I have a better idea of what kind of person I am and what exactly I want to pursue.
    Enid Lee, 11

It may be from some sort delirium stemming from my lack of sleep, but I really feel that I’ll miss junior year. Even though everyone has been working toward reaching their own goals we still supported one another when things got too tough to handle, and gave each other a place to take a moment and forget about that ever looming AP season. Although I don't think I want to exactly relive it, I'll definitely look back on this year with fondness.

over who go freshman. and i thought i got it so i did freshman. my bad. stupid esther . =[

Well, this year has been one heck of a ride. Everything from slaving over AP Bio homework, to playing Starcraft. I honestly have to say, 2 years down, 2 more to go. I really want to thank some of my teachers for being great and making this year really memorable but at the same time give a shout out to the ones that are discouraging, uninspiring, and play favorites.

Sophomore Year has been drama, fun and amazing! Speech and Debate especially. It has become my family and I've learned a lot. Though i lost touch with some friends, i've also gained some amazing ones. I wouldn't change this year for the world!

Hey, since these are separate accounts, do we want to just type up "Arcadia High School" everytime, or how do we even know when do start abbreviating since we don't know which the editors will actually use?

Aahh, I forgot to do the introduction paragraph, but you guys never told me you guys were missing it. But I just saw the page, and I’ll do a quick intro right now.

Another year has come and gone and students have experienced the disappointments and successes of yet another school year. With that in mind, a couple of students have graciously contributed their opinions and reflections of the passing school year for those students entering their respective classes next year.

    is that long enough?
